Bayonet and Black Horse used to be on the Fort Ord military base and was open to military players only. Once the base closed and the CSU came onto the base, the course was opened up to the general public. The clubhouse is not all that fancy for a prime course in the Monterey Bay area. But they had good draft beer and the guys who had food afterwards didn't complain, so what's not to like?
